Baptism

What is Baptism all about?

For many, baptism is the first public step of obedience to Christ.  Baptism is for anyone who has received new life by choosing to follow Jesus Christ.   New Hope Church teaches and practices ‘water baptism’ which a visual and symbolic demonstration of a person’s new life in Christ.  It signifies that our former way of life has been put to death and vividly depicts how, through Jesus’ death and resurrection, we have been forgiven and freed from the power of sin.

How can I be Baptized?

Before your baptism, we offer a special class designed to answer your questions about baptism. This class is a discussion of the biblical significance of baptism.  It also covers several frequently asked questions, explains what our baptism service looks like, and gives you an opportunity to share your story about why you decided to follow Jesus.

When is the next Baptism Class offered?

The date of the next baptism class offered at New Hope will be announced soon.   If you are interested in being baptized please let us know by sending us an email with the subject line “baptism,” and one of our pastors will contact you.
